1962-2025

The passing of Miss. L. Jill Justason of Pennfield NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital in Saint John, NB November 22,2025.  Born April 23, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Florence (Bent) Justason.

A loving sister, aunt, and friend Jill is survived by her two brothers: Leigh Justason (Marjorie) of Ottawa, ON and Calvin Justason of Pennfield, NB. 6 nieces and 1 nephew; Lisa Justason-Belliveau, Lisa Jordan, Sherri Pickering, Carrie Justason-Ritchie, Melanie Justason-Waldner, and Derek Justason. chosen family member Christa, and several great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and close friends.  Jill was also predeceased by her sister Linda and two sister in-laws Fay Justason and Dawn Justason.

Jill enjoyed the simple things in life.  She could be often found knitting, reading, or enjoying the view of her creek from the deck.

Jill also enjoyed spending time with her friends and chosen family.  She was never one to turn down having a good time with her people.  If Jill chose you as her friend, you became her family if you knew it or not.  She would love you deeply and unconditionally.   She had a gift to talk and tell stories.  If she could get your ear your conversation would last if you were willing to listen.

Jill was also a long-time employee for Cooke Inc. and was proud to share how long she has been with the company and what roles she had accomplished throughout her career.

To say she will be missed by her family and friends would be an understatement for the void she has left in the hearts she has touched through her life.

The family would also like to thank the staff at the Charlotte County Hospital and Saint John Regional Hospital for the care and compassion they provided to Jill.

Services for Jill will be held at a later date. In Jill’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be apprecaited by the family. Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB.
