Juanita “Jennie” Lambert

1946-2026

Juanita “Jennie” Lambert passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, at Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family. Her life was marked by courage, compassion, and an abiding love for the people who brought her joy. Though her family and friends mourn her passing, they will carry forward the warmth of her laughter, the strength of her spirit, and the many cherished memories she gave them.

Jennie was born in Calexico, California, on December 2, 1946, and was raised in San Diego. She later lived in Nevada before moving overseas with her husband, Paul Lambert, and eventually retiring to their home on Deer Island.

Jennie was a strong and courageous woman who fought cancer for several years with determination and grace. Through her own experience, she became a compassionate advocate for others undergoing laryngectomy, offering support, encouragement, and understanding to those facing similar challenges.

Jennie was also a warm and sociable woman who treasured the friendships she made throughout her life. She loved hosting dinner parties, playing cards with friends, and spending time with the people she cared about. She was an active member of her local women’s group and the Red Hat Society, where she enjoyed friendship, laughter, and many memorable gatherings.

Above all, Jennie cherished her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taking great joy in being part of their lives and watching them grow. The time she shared with them created many special memories that will be treasured by her family for generations to come.

Jennie was predeceased by her mother, Concha “Connie” (Osa) Ruelas; her father, Manuel Ruelas; and her sister, Lupe (Ruelas) Rye.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Paul Lambert; her daughters, Tisha (Trevor) Cline and Chrissy (Harlan) Cline; her stepson, Donald (Jackie) Lambert; her grandchildren, Drake, Colton, and Savannah; her great-grandchildren, Rehmi, Lincoln, Ruby, Lupine, and Solomon; as well as extended family and many dear friends.

Jennie’s legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless people she encouraged through her kindness and example. She will be remembered for her strength, compassion, welcoming nature, love of bringing people together, and dedication to supporting others. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her love will remain a lasting part of the lives she touched.

In keeping with Jennie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In her memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer, the St. George Animal Shelter or to your local branch of the SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family.
