1947-2026
The passing of Glennis Flora (Justason) Richard, wife of John J. Richard Sr. of Blacks Harbour NB, occurred unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on October 31, 2026. Born on August 31, 1947 in Blacks Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Glendon and L. Leola (Betts) Justason.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, in addition to her husband John, Glennis is survived by her children: Skip (Anita) Justason of Blacks Harbour NB, Johnny Richard Jr. of St. George NB, Lisa (John) Breau of Pennfield NB and Tammy (Kevin) McLaughlin of Bayside NB; her grandchildren: Brittany, Brent, Vanessa, Jenna, Bella, Adam, Chris and Krista; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister: Brenda Legacy of Pennfield NB; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prior to retirement, Glennis primarily worked for Connor’s Brothers in Blacks Harbour for many years. In her younger days, Glennis loved going to Bingo. As she and John entered their retirement years, Glennis found joy in the simple things in life, like staying home and being in the company of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family dearly and was sure to attend all her grandchildren’s events where she constantly cheered for them from the sidelines. In her quiet time, she loved doing crosswords and watching her show, Survivor, on the TV. Glennis’ love and devotion to her family will be sadly missed.
