1941-2026
The passing of Clayton Robert Richardson, beloved husband to Beth (Calder) Richardson of Cummings Cove NB occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on February 27, 2026. Born at Eastport ME on June 20, 1941, he was a son of the late Harry G. and Geneva M. (Cline) Richardson.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by his wife Beth, sons; Wade (Jennifer) Richardson, residing on Deer Island and Blaine, residing in the Philippines, his grandchildren: Cody (Lacey), Joel (Brianna) and Justine, his great granddaughters: Joey and Billie, his sister; Shirley Calder of Murray Harbour PE as well as several nieces, including chosen niece; Susan Richardson, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers: Harvey and Gordon.
Prior to his retirement Clayton spent a lifetime on the water as a fisherman until the early 1990’s when he made a switch to the aquaculture industry retiring in 2000. All the years he spent on the water, Clayton had a love and desire for boats and anything about them. Whether working on one, sailing one or designing one, his passion was in boats. He also sailed one of the first private boats to deliver salmon feed for Sur Gain.
Clayton also had a passion for antique cars and a love for music, especially the old country music, playing guitar and singing the classics. Claton also was a genuine animal lover,,all animals especially birds which gave him great enjoyment feeding.
The family would like to thank and shout out an appreciation to the many who helped out in their journey such as the teaching unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital Dialysis Unit, Extra Mural nurses who cared for Clayton, with a special shout out to Kimmie Glennie, the E.M.T’s, the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Charlotte County Hospital for their endless care as well as the Nurse Practitioners, especially Pam Cline for their loving and professional care. A huge thank you.
In keeping with Claytons wishes their will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In Claytons memory, donations to the St. George Animal Shelter or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family
