1960 – 2026
Karen Aileen (Williams) Bartlett passed peacefully on May 19, 2026, at Bobby’s Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Brought up in Harvey Station, New Brunswick, Karen was the daughter of Lewis and Kay (Graham) Williams.
Karen was a graduate of Harvey Regional High School and the Atlantic Business College, which she followed with a career in Medical Records at Charlotte County Hospital.
In 1982, she married the love of her life, Hugh Bernard Bartlett, and together they raised their two children, Tiffany and Graham, in Bayside and Chamcook.
Karen’s bubbly personality and joy for life drew people towards her. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Karen was active in her family and community. Fed by a love of her ocean view, her life was full of music, gardening, adventures with friends and countless card games. Karen inspired many around her with her resilience and her ability to carry on in the face of loss.
Karen is survived by her daughter Tiffany (Holly); daughter-in-law Andrea and her special granddaughter Nora; brothers Wayne (Pat), Gary (Susan), sister Kayla; on the Bartlett side, Rob (Bessie), Francie (Lance), Chris (Ross); and many generations of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Predeceased by her parents, husband, Hugh, their son, Graham, sister, Kathy, and several aunts and uncles.
As per her request, Karen has been cremated. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at her Celebration of Life on Monday, May 25 at 2:00 pm at the Wesley United Church, located at 77 William Street, Saint Andrews. Reception to follow the service.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Emily Love, Dr. Julia Wildish, and the compassionate staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital – Palliative Unit, Charlotte County Hospital, St. George Extra-Mural Unit, and the extraordinary caregivers at Bobby’s Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen’s memory may be made to Bobby’s Hospice and the Charlotte County Cancer Society. Online condolences and donations may be made through Humphreys Funeral Home.
