VIDEO: Snowshoeing to St. Paddy’s Falls

At the very beginning of the Kerrs Ridge Road, just after you merge from the Basin Road, you’ll see a sign on the left side of the guardrail that marks the start of the trail to St. Paddy’s Falls. It’s a short hike to the falls at just 400 meters, but you’ll encounter a few elevation changes along the way. The trail is marked by ribbons, though. The falls are not visible from the road, nor are they immediately visible upon arrival to them as they’re somewhat hidden behind an outcropping of rock to their right. It’s about a 20 minute hike from the trailhead to the falls, where you’ll be greeted by a lovely 6 meter (18 foot) high set of falls cascading over a high ledge of ancient bedrock, being fed by a small brook flowing down out of Kerrs Lake. Located near Bocabec, the trail and falls are within a convenient distance for most in Charlotte County: just keep in mind that the trail is rocky and that there is no official parking space at the trail head.

My wife and I recently made a winter visit to the falls, which you can watch below!
