N.B. gas prices rise, while diesel, furnace oil dip

Lower fuel prices this week for diesel and furnace oil users.

The Energy and Utilities Board made its weekly price adjustments overnight.

Furnace oil is down 5.5 cents a litre, and the maximum sits at around $1.86

Diesel dipped 6.5 cents to a maximum of around $1.94.

This comes after the interrupter clause pushed those prices up on Wednesday.

If you’re using regular self-serve, on the other hand, it increased 2.4 cents to a maximum of around $1.42.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.38 to $1.43 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.83 and $1.87 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the maximum prices are $1.47 a litre for regular self-serve, $1.93 per litre for diesel, and $1.36 per litre for home heating oil.
