1941-2026
With heavy and broken hearts, we announce the passing of Rhona Colleen (Wright) Sullivan, wife of the late Allan Arthur Sullivan, formerly of Beaver Harbour NB, which occurred peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on January 10, 2026, with her loving and devoted family by her side.
Born on March 4, 1941 in Beaver Harbour NB, she was a daughter of the late Howard and V. Bernice (Leslie) Wright.
A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Rhona will be sadly missed by her children: Carrie Sullivan (Guy Sorel) of St. George NB, Julie Sullivan (Toby Stuart) of Pennfield NB, Elizabeth “Bethie” (Jason) Lomax of Little Lepreau NB and Peter (Rachel) Sullivan of Beaver Harbour NB; her grandchildren: Kaylie (Devin), Jenna (Matt), Garrett (Grayson), Cassidy (Jacob), Brennan (Brett), Bradaigh, Bridgette and Ellie (Jacob); great-grandchildren: Cruz, Nash, Jax, Nora, Hayes, Sawyer, Easton, Preslee and Hazel; siblings: Lorraine Rogers of Blacks Harbour NB, Orland (Barb) Wright of St. Andrews NB, Ralph (Michelle) Wright of Canal NB, Teddy (Laurie) Wright of Utopia NB, Anne Marie Wright and Drew Wright both of Texas; sister-in-law: Betty Wright of Beaver Harbour NB; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Rhona was predeceased by one son in infancy: Allan Daniel Sullivan; brothers: Fraser, Blair and Carl.
Rhona truly had a soft heart and a love for all people and this trait showed through in her career with home support. Always putting others before herself, she loved to help anyone in any way she could and found great joy in taking care of others. Cherishing her role as the matriarch of the family, Rhona loved nothing more than to be surrounded by her family at gatherings, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her more joy than they could ever know. In her quiet time, she enjoyed knitting. She was a longtime member of the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Fundy Nursing Home for the care and support shown to not only Rhona but to our family over the last couple of years. Your hard work and dedication to your residents never goes unnoticed.
