1947-2026

With her family at her side the passing of Kathleen Marie Legacy occurred at her residence on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. She was born on March 22, 1947 in St. Andrews to the late Ernest and Marion (Rooney) Brown. Kathleen was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to garden in her spare time. She was known for her tomato plants and had an ongoing war each summer with a squirrel who was stealing her strawberries. Her family will remember her fondly for her love of Breton crackers and tulips. Kathleen was a volunteer for the St. John Ambulance in Lepreau and was a member of the Pocologan Baptist Church.

Kathleen is survived by her children: Mary Legacy of St. George, Peggy Hamilton (Matt) of St. Martins, Jimmy Legacy (Heather) of Musquash and Freddy Legacy of Campobello; grandchildren: Katlyn, Jacob, Gary, Cody, Micheal, Brady, Kevin, Jody, Madison, Kelsey, Dylan, Jocelyn, Justin, Samatha and Brandon; siblings: Pam Doucet (Blake), Olive Doucett (Calvin), Ernestine Saulnier (Paul), Dorothy McAdam (Wilfred) and Ernest Brown; several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents Kathleen was predeceased by her son, LeRoy; sisters, Mary Ann and Brenda and brother, Ronnie.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Following cremation, a celebration of Kathleen life will take place in the summer. For those who wish, donations to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
