The 13th Annual 98.1 Charlotte FM Radiothon was an incredible success, raising $462,000 toward a new 3D mammography unit for Charlotte County Hospital.
Broadcasting live over 12 hours on October 8, Charlotte FM morning show host Mark Downey, alongside Cory Morrow and Krista Hamm, brought listeners inspiring stories, interviews with healthcare professionals, and a powerful reminder of the importance of having access to life-saving medical technology close to home.
But the fundraising doesn’t stop with Radiothon Day!
Listeners can continue making a difference through a special partnership with The Ganong Chocolatier. Until December 31, every bag of their Chocolatier Exclusive Chicken Bones sold will benefit the Charlotte County Hospital Foundation and its fundraising goal for the new 3D mammography machine. The treats are available both in-store and online, making it easy to support local healthcare while enjoying a beloved Maritime favorite.

Thanks to the generosity of our listeners, local businesses, community organizations, and donors, we’re one step closer to bringing this important technology to our community.
Thank you, Charlotte County, for showing what we can accomplish when we come together!
Every donation and every bag of Chicken Bones sold helps bring us closer to our goal.
