Indigenous Disability Awareness Month (IDAM) is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contributions, experiences, and perspectives of Indigenous people with disabilities.
It’s also a time to reflect on how we can build communities that are welcoming, accessible, and inclusive of everyone. By listening to Indigenous voices, learning from lived experiences, and recognizing the importance of removing barriers, we can work toward creating spaces where everyone feels valued, included, and has the opportunity to participate and thrive.
This month, we encourage everyone to learn, listen, and reflect on how we can each contribute to a more accessible, inclusive, and equitable New Brunswick.
