Armed Bank Robbery In West Saint John

Police in Saint John are looking for a suspect after an armed bank robbery on the city’s west side.

The robbery happened at the Bank of Montreal branch in Lancaster Mall at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Spokesperson Jim Hennessy said a man armed with a weapon walked into the bank and demanded cash.

“The suspect ran from the mall on foot with an undisclosed amount of money,” said Hennessy in a news release.

There were no reports of any injuries as a result of the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 5’9″ tall, between 35 and 45 years old, with light brown hair.

He was wearing jeans, a grey hoodie, and had a dark scarf around his neck and the lower half of his face.
