1950-2026
With broken hearts the family of Corinne Rheta Conley announce her passing on September 1, 2026 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on August 31, 1950 in St. Stephen NB, the first daughter of the late Goldwin and Patricia (Richardson) Smith and the loving wife of the late Daryl Conley.
She leaves a void that will never be filled in her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Nancy Conley; daughter, Trisha Conley all of Deer Island; her only grandson, Christopher Hawkins; three granddaughters: Julia Carpenter (Nathan), Erin Carpenter (Grant) and Kendra Carpenter (Brett); four beautiful great-granddaughters: Ava, Grace, Ellie and Cassie, who were the lights of her life along with her precious niece, Emily. Grammie, Gram Corinne and Aunt truly were her favourite titles.
She also leaves behind three younger sisters: LuAnn Cline, who was also her best friend, Sandra Bradford and Karen Young; several brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom held a very special place in her heart as well as many friends. Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 54 years and her in-laws, Marilyn and Ronald Conley.
Corinne was a hairdresser by trade, but her true calling was being a mother. She spent her entire life nurturing, protecting and adoring her children and grandchildren and her love of shopping helped her master the art of spoiling her grandchildren. She loved nothing more than showering them with love and actual presents or planning and decorating for milestones in their lives, creating memories they will cherish forever. Corinne brought warmth to the lives of everyone she met just like her perfect cup of Red Rose tea. She will be forever missed
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Dr. Michael Bone for the exceptional care and compassion given to Corrine during her final days.
