Susan Elizabeth Peacock

1963-2026

It is with profound sadness that the family of Susan Elizabeth Peacock announce her peaceful passing on Saturday May 16, 2026 at the age of 63.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Ethan Smith and Devon Smith; stepdaughter, Michelle Wade; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Bernice (Hopey).

Growing up in St. Stephen, NB, Susan was a devoted daughter. During her childhood, Susan was involved in solo figure skating, piano, vocals and became an honour student.  Her true love of living was being with family at their Lake Utopia cottage where summers were spent out on the lake or gathering the riches of the field and forest.

In her adult life, Susan worked in retail, then returned to school to become a hairdresser. Her most favourite employment, however, was life acting at Kings Landing Historical Site in Prince William, NB as a resident of one of the homes, baking and cooking from scratch over an open hearth and playing the organ at the on-site church for Sunday services.  Susan had lived in the Fredericton area and then later returned to Charlotte County where, for the last several years, she had lived at the family cottage listening to nature and enjoyed peaceful living.  She had a lifelong passion for gardening, baking, fibre arts of spinning yarn and weaving, unending kindness for others, her religious faith and the unwavering devotion and love for her children.

In keeping with Susan’s wishes, there will be no service as cremation has taken place.

Donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Susan’s memory.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Saint John Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.
