1946-2026

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved husband, John Ellsworth, who was born on December 1, 1946 and passed away on January 25, 2026. He was the son of the late George and Joan Ellsworth, from Seeleys Cove.

John is survived by his step-sons Lorne (Lina) McDermott and Terry (Angela) Acton, and his step-daughters Mona (Kenny) LeBlanc and Lori (Cal) Dwyer. He was a proud grandfather to Melissa, Amanda, Lorissa, Chelsey, Travis, Kyle, Derek and several great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.

John dedicated 32 years of his working life to Irving Tissue in Ontario before returning home to New Brunswick, where he enjoyed a well-earned retirement. He was a man who appreciated the simple joys of life – sports of any kind, good music, especially “God Bless Texas”, and long walks with his three best dog pals, Sully, Pepper and Raffi, which were some of his happiest moments.

John was truly the love of my life. Every morning, I will miss hearing him say, “Sweetheart, what are we going to do today?” His warmth, humor, and love will forever remain in my heart.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him – friends, family, and all whose lives he touched.

As for John’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Donations to one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
