1938-2025
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Everett Joseph Comeau, husband of the late Donna (Holmes) Comeau of Pennfield NB, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on December 14, 2025. Born in Metaghan NS on March 20, 1938, he was a son of the late Albert Comeau and Lillian (Dugas) Comeau.
A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Everett will be lovingly remembered by his children: Lisa Acebedo and Cindy Comeau both of Pennfield and Wayne Comeau of Edmonton; grandchildren: Miah Acebedo (William Reniére), Kyle Comeau and Gary Munn (Stacey Munn); great-grandchildren; Brett and Peyton Munn, great great granddaughter; Aubrey Munn, his brothers: James Comeau, Mark Comeau and Bruce Comeau; sisters: Carolann Melanson, Luana Bridges and Janine Fougere; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents and wife, Everett was predeceased by an infant daughter: Judy Lynn; one brother: Courtney Comeau; one sister: Elaine Harington.
Prior to his retirement, Everett worked for Connors Brothers in the Boat Shop for 49 years. He was a longtime member of the Stella Maris Catholic Church in Blacks Harbour and almost never missed the Sunday Jam. In addition to his love for motorcycles, playing pool, boats and bluegrass music; he handcrafted instruments, fixed anything he could get his hard-working hands on; and as a proud Acadian man, made the perfect râpée pie.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George. Resting at the funeral home with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Stella Maris Catholic Church, Blacks Harbour NB on Thursday at 11:00 am with Father Abelardo Sobredo officiating followed by the interment in the parish cemetery. In Everett’s memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
