First Ministers Coordinating COVID-19 Response

Canada’s leaders say they’re working together to address the impact of the coronavirus.

The prime minister and premiers held a teleconference Friday, and in a statement, they say they are planning for all scenarios.

That includes possibly providing financial supports for people in self-isolation like sickness benefits.

They also acknowledged the importance of supporting First Nations, Inuit, and Metis Peoples, and rural and remote communities.
