World Down Syndrome Day

Today is World Down Syndrome Day — a day all about celebrating inclusion, kindness, and the amazing people in our communities living with Down syndrome.

You might notice a lot of folks rocking bright, colorful, even mismatched socks today — and that’s no accident. Those socks are a fun way to start conversations and show support, because chromosomes kind of look like socks… and today is all about celebrating that extra one that makes people with Down syndrome wonderfully unique.

It’s also a reminder that everyone deserves the same chances — to learn, to work, to be heard, and to belong.

So today, take a moment. Say hello, share a smile, and celebrate the differences that make our world a better place.

Happy World Down Syndrome Day!
