Here’s 5 interesting things you can talk about this week with your family, friends and co-workers!
Designed by Sir William Van Horne himself, Covenhoven on Ministers Island was constructed of red sandstone quarried on the island and was originally relatively small. Between 1892 and 1901, Van Horne continued to expand; making two major additions to the house, with an eventual floor space of 10,000 square feet.
More phone calls are made on Mother’s Day than any other day of the year!
Hair grows faster in warmer weather, and it is the second fastest-growing tissue in the human body after bone marrow.
An old proverb states, “marry in May and you’ll rue the day,” making it historically considered an unlucky month for weddings.
“Twister”, starring Bill Pullman and Helen Hunt, was released 30 years ago this week.
