1: Did you know that in 1877, St. Stephen was almost destroyed by devastating fire, when 80 buildings and 13 wharves were burned?

2: The first permanent transatlantic telegraph cable successfully came ashore at Heart’s Content, Newfoundland, on July 25, 1866.

3: It takes about 10 to 12 days for a skunk to replenish its spray supply once used.

4: Raspberries are not a true berry: botanically, a raspberry is an aggregate fruit made of 100 to 120 tiny individual seed-bearing parts called drupelets.

5: The number 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week in 1986 was “Sledgehammer”, by Peter Gabriel.
