Water Cooler Talk (December 15 – 21)

Here’s 5 interesting things you can talk about this week with your family, friends and co-workers!

1: Although it is rare, the Passamaquoddy Bay does occasionally freeze over – including in the winter of 1922 when men were able to cross from Deer Island to St. Andrews over the ice!

2: A baby blue whale can gain up to 250 pounds per day!

3:  Wreaths have been a symbol of Christmas since the 1500’s. The circular shape is supposed to signify eternity.

4: Alanis Morissette’s “Jagged Little Pill” album was released in December 1995.

5: Our stomach acid is so strong that it can dissolve steel! Luckily, our stomach lining is designed to be strong enough to contain it.
