Two N.B. teens charged after stolen vehicle crosses into N.S.

Two New Brunswick teens are facing charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle and driving it into Nova Scotia.

According to RCMP, officers received a report of a dangerous driver on Highway 7 shortly before 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4.

Police located a Mazda with New Brunswick licence plates travelling westbound at a high rate of speed. Officers briefly pursued the vehicle before its two occupants ran from the scene.

A few hours later, RCMP spotted two suspicious people near the area where the vehicle had been abandoned. The youths matched the descriptions of the suspects involved in the earlier incident and were arrested without further incident.

The two Moncton teens have since been charged and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
