Today is Earth Day – Let’s Keep Charlotte County Beautiful

Today is Earth Day, a time recognized around the world to celebrate our planet and remind us that even small actions can make a big difference. Here in Charlotte County, we’re lucky to live in one of the most beautiful areas anywhere — from the Bay of Fundy coastline and beaches, to forests, trails, rivers, and our welcoming communities.

Earth Day is the perfect time to give back to the place we call home.

Helping clean up around Charlotte County doesn’t have to be complicated. You can start by picking up litter in your neighbourhood, along local roadsides, parks, beaches, or walking trails. Even filling one small garbage bag helps keep trash out of nature and waterways.

You can also reduce waste at home by recycling properly, composting food scraps, and cutting back on single-use plastics like bags and bottles. Planting flowers, trees, or starting a small garden is another great way to support pollinators and beautify your property.

If you’re out and about today, why not bring gloves and a bag and do a quick clean-up wherever you are? It’s a simple act that can inspire others to do the same.

Charlotte County is known for its natural beauty, and Earth Day is a great reminder that keeping it clean starts with all of us.

Happy Earth Day — and thanks for doing your part to keep Charlotte County shining.
