Camp Day is one of Tim Hortons’ most meaningful annual fundraising events, bringing communities together to help change the lives of young people across Canada and the United States.

The tradition began in 1991, when Tim Hortons restaurant owners held the very first Camp Day. On this special day, 100% of the proceeds from every hot and iced coffee sold are donated to the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, helping provide life-changing camp experiences for youth from underserved communities.

The Tim Hortons Foundation Camps itself was established in 1974 by Tim Horton, who believed every young person should have the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their circumstances. What started as a single camp has grown into a year-round youth development program that helps thousands of young people build confidence, leadership skills, resilience, and lifelong friendships.

Over the years, Camp Day has raised hundreds of millions of dollars, thanks to the generosity of guests, restaurant owners, team members, volunteers, and community partners. Every cup of coffee purchased on Camp Day helps send more youth to camp, where they gain valuable life skills and experiences that can have a lasting impact on their futures.

Today, Camp Day continues to be one of Canada’s most successful community fundraising events, proving that something as simple as buying a cup of coffee can help create brighter futures for young people.
