Temperature Records Broken On Saturday

Several temperature records were broken throughout the province this weekend.

Four communities in southern and western New Brunswick set records on Saturday, according to Environment Canada.

St. Stephen hit a high of 31.7°C, breaking the previous record of 29.4°C set in 1961.

The high of 25.6°C in Saint John broke a 1968 record of 22.2°C.

Grand Manan reached a high of 27.6°C, more than six degrees warmer than the last record of 21.5°C set in 1988.

The high of 28.7°C in Edmundston broke the 1998 record of 27°C.
