Significant Drop In Fuel Prices

Fuel prices plunged overnight in New Brunswick, in some cases by more than 20 cents per litre.

Regular self-serve is now selling for a maximum price of just over $1.73 per litre.

That is a drop of more than 10 cents after the weekly setting by the Energy and Utilities Board.

Diesel plunged by more than 27 cents to a new maximum price of just under $2.10 per litre.

Most local gas stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

Meanwhile, furnace oil is also down by more than 25 cents and is selling for around $1.88 per litre.

The price for propane climbed by around two cents and is now sitting at just over $1.34 per litre.
