Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for areas of central and eastern New Brunswick.
Kent County, Kouchibouguac National Park, Miramichi and area, Mount Carleton – Renous Highway and the Stanley Doaktown Blackville area are all under the watch.
Heavy downpours from strong thunderstorms can cause flash floods and water on roads.
Residents are asked to continue to monitor alerts and report severe weather.
Environment Canada says “severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.”
