UPDATED: Man wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested

Saint John police say a 25-year-old man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested.

The man was taken into custody in Moncton last Thursday, police said in a news release on Wednesday.

He was accused of breaching the conditions of his statutory release after failing to return to the community correctional centre in Saint John.

The man is serving a sentence of more than three years and eight months for robbery, disguise with intent, possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering a threat to cause death or harm, assaulting a peace officer, and escaping or being at large without excuse.
