RCMP investigate break-in, theft at St. Stephen business

Mounties are investigating after a “large amount” of items were stolen from a St. Stephen business.

The break-in and theft on King Street is believed to have happened between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said one or more people cut an exterior fence and then broke into an exterior seasonal structure.

“A large amount of sporting goods and houseware items of significant value were stolen, including two bicycles, camouflage hunting coveralls and a camping tent,” said an RCMP release.

No surveillance footage photos are available at this time, according to police.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or has any information is asked to contact St. Stephen RCMP at 506-466-7030 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
