Radiothon Raises Record $263K For New CT Scan

A record-breaking year for the ninth annual Charlotte FM Radiothon in support of the Charlotte County Hospital Foundation.

A total of $262,273.03 was raised during the 12-hour fundraising event on Thursday.

The total included a $100,000 donation from the estate of Ronald Leavitt.

The money will support the foundation’s efforts to buy a CT scan for the Charlotte County Hospital.

President Steve Backman previously said he hoped Thursday’s radiothon would put a “big dent” in the $700,000 fundraising goal.

You can still make a donation through the foundation’s website by clicking here.
