Phil Chisholm Re-Offers In Bordertown

One incumbent St. Stephen councillor wants to continue serving in the town.

Phil Chisholm is a retired high school administrator.

Chisholm said the town has seen considerable growth due to the teamwork between the council and the business development group-Future St. Stephen.

“As a result of internet promotion we have had many new residents come to town, a lot of them from Ontario. As a result, our housing market is booming and presently there are only 25 homes for sale. A new apartment building with 50 units was full the day it opened. We have a present need for more low-income housing that we are addressing.” Chisolm said.

He said the town’s location combined with a quality of life makes it a good place to live.

Should he be re-elected in May, Chisholm aims to sustain growth by making fiscally responsible decisions.

He also pledged to take citizen concerns seriously and keep the lines of communication open.
