One person dead after collision in York County

An 82-year-old woman has died after a two-vehicle collision in Brockway.

Members of the McAdam RCMP responded to a collision on Saturday at approximately 12:35 p.m. on Route 3.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the driver of a transport truck travelling northbound crossed the centre line and collided with a car travelling south.

The 82-year-old woman, who was the driver, and a passenger in the car both sustained serious injuries and were transported to hospital.

According to the RCMP, the driver later died as a result of her injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the transport truck was also taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.

Members of the Harvey Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick and an RCMP traffic reconstructionist attended the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
