The Saint John Police Force has arrested a woman after a Canada-wide warrant was issued.
Police say Brittany Hammond was arrested in the area of Peters Street in Saint John just before 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Hammond, who was convicted of assault, was accused of breaching the conditions of her statutory release.
The 24-year-old Moncton native was residing at a community correctional centre in Saint John.
She is serving a sentence of just over two years for aggravated assault and failing to comply with a probation order.
