The Heather Curling Club is set to welcome the province’s top young curlers as it hosts the 2026 New Brunswick Junior Curling Championships, running February 25 to March 1, 2026.
Presented by the Jake Thomas Celebrity Curling Classic, the championship will bring together the best junior teams from across New Brunswick, all competing for the chance to represent the province at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Summerside, Prince Edward Island.
With more than a century of curling tradition, the Heather Curling Club is preparing to deliver a championship experience that highlights both exceptional ice conditions and outstanding hospitality.
“This event will showcase some truly high-level curling,” said Roger McNabb, President of the Heather Curling Club. “These athletes are talented, focused, and incredibly skilled. Fans will be treated to fast, strategic, and exciting games from start to finish.”
Behind the scenes, a dedicated host committee, volunteers, and experienced ice technician Vern Lister have been working to ensure the club is competition-ready.
“We’re proud of the quality of curling this championship will bring to St. Andrews,” McNabb added. “Our ice, our volunteers, and our community are all coming together to create an environment where these young athletes can perform at their very best.”
The championships offer spectators a chance to see the future of the sport up close, while supporting youth athletics and curling development in New Brunswick. Admission is open to the public.
The Town of St. Andrews extends a warm welcome to athletes, coaches, families, and fans, and encourages visitors to explore the community’s scenic beauty, rich history, and local businesses during their stay.
