Moonlight Bazaar postponed due to weather

Those hoping to check out the Moonlight Bazaar in uptown Saint John will have to wait a bit longer.

The one-day street festival was slated to take place on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

But rain in the forecast has prompted organizers to postpone the event by one week until Saturday, Sept. 2.

“We want to ensure we put on a great event for our community and felt this would provide the best option,” Moonlight Bazaar said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

Moonlight Bazaar, which celebrates creativity and brings the community together, is marking its sixth year in 2023.

It will include food, music, pop-up performances and vendors under the light of a seven-metre inflatable moon and Mars.
