A murder charge has been laid in connection with a homicide in Fredericton.
Police say a 45-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder.
He remains in custody and is due to appear in court again at a later date.
Fredericton police were called to a downtown residence on Sept. 4 and found a woman’s body.
She has since been identified by police as 42-year-old Sonia Vivian Timbre.
An adult man, later identified as the accused, was also found inside the residence and taken to the hospital.
