A St. George man was charged Thursday with several firearms-related offences after an incident in the town on Tuesday.
41-year-old Henry Sargefield was charged with two counts of pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose, two counts of uttering threats and mischief under $5000.
Just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday, officers were called because a van with four flat tires was blocking L’Etete Road.
Officers learned the man responsible was armed and staying nearby.
He left the home a short time later and surrendered to the police without incident.
No one was hurt but police seized two firearms.
Henry Sargefield is being held in custody for a bail hearing scheduled on Tuesday.
