Lane and ramp closures in west Saint John

Some temporary ramp closures and paving will affect traffic on the west side.

Beginning Monday, Gateway Operations and the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will be working at the Exit 119 interchange.

As a result, on- and off-ramps in the area will be closed.

  • Westbound off-ramp 119A – From Highway 1 to Bleury Street
  • Westbound on-ramp – from Catherwood Street/Fairville Boulevard/Bleury Street to Highway 1
  • Eastbound off-ramp 119A-B – From Highway 1 to Bleury Street

Detour signage will be in place and closure information will be available through NB511.

There will be milling and paving operations in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1 between the Bleury Street exit and the Chesley Drive exit on the Harbour Bridge.

Drivers should expect alternating lane closures between driving and passing lanes in the area.

DTI will be closing the off-ramp to Chesley Drive from Tuesday through Friday.
