Interrupter clause drops fuel prices in N.B.

Fuel prices dropped across New Brunswick after the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board issued an interrupter clause.

The maximum cost for regular self‑serve gasoline is down about seven cents a litre to $1.85.

Diesel fell roughly six cents to $2.38, while furnace oil dropped about 6 cents to $2.31.

In Nova Scotia, regular self‑serve currently ranges from about $1.80 to $1.85 per litre, while diesel’s maximum is between roughly $2.29 and $2.34 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the maximum price for regular self‑serve is about $1.93 per litre, diesel is at $2.43 per litre, and home heating oil sells for a maximum of about $1.82 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board normally makes its weekly price adjustments every Friday at 12:01 a.m., but interrupter clauses allow for changes when needed.
