As children across the country head back to school, you might have noticed something slightly off about their books..
For years, the popular Hilroy notebook has been known for years by the map of Canada on the cover.
But this time, the glossy cover is missing the whole island of Newfoundland, as well as Cape Breton, N.S.
In a social media statement, the company apologized for the misprint.
They say they have always been proud of the design, “which is exactly why getting it wrong stings.”
“That’s our mistake, and we’re sorry.”
The error was caused by a production issue, and they say they have stopped distributing the books while they fix the cover.
