Gas going up, diesel going down in New Brunswick

It had to end sooner or later, right?

The recent dramatic dips in gas prices is expected to come to an end Thursday night.

According to an industry source, the maximum price of regular self-serve will go up about 1.5 cents.

It will push the maximum above $1.87 per litre.

It’s not all bad news, as diesel is expected to fall 2.4 cents, dropping below $2.24.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.88 to $1.90 per litre, while diesel is selling for between $2.20 and $2.22 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is about $1.93 per litre, diesel costs $2.27 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of about $1.67 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board makes its regular weekly adjustment to prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
