Convicted Sex Offender Back In Custody

A convicted sex offender on the lam from a Saint John halfway house is back in custody.

Saint John police say 20-year-old Richard LeClair was arrested on Thursday.

LeClair was considered unlawfully at large after not returning to the Parrtown Community Correctional Centre.

He is serving a two-year sentence for sexual assault and fraud under $5,000.

Police asked for the public’s help to locate LeClair on Wednesday but did not say how long he had been at large for.
