Charlotte and Jack the top names for newborns in 2025

As New Brunswick welcomes the first newborns of 2026, Service New Brunswick has provided some stats for 2025, including the most popular names.

Preliminary results released by the Vital Statistics Office showed that 5,699 births were registered in New Brunswick from Jan. 1 to Dec. 16.

And the most popular names were Charlotte for girls, and Jack for boys.

The information showed Noah, William, Henry and Benjamin were in the top five names for boys. Sophia, Violet, Olivia and Ellie filled out the top five for girls.

That followed 2024 when the most popular names were Noah, Charlotte, Liam, Oliver, Henry, Jack, Olivia, Amelia, Elizabeth and Ellie.
