Bay Ferries Cancels Two Saint John-Digby Crossings

Weather conditions have forced Bay Ferries to cancel two of its crossings between Saint John, N.B., and Digby, N.S.

The company says Monday’s 4 p.m. departure from Digby and Tuesday’s 9 a.m. departure from Saint John are cancelled.

Environment Canada has issued a gale warning for the Bay of Fundy. Wind speeds of 35 knots (65 km/h) are expected this afternoon, increasing to 45 knots (83 km/h) near midnight and diminishing to 30 knots (56 km/h) overnight.

Forecasters say wind speeds of 25 knots (46 km/h) are expected to continue for much of the day Tuesday.
