
Did you know that changes in sleep are common as we age — but poor sleep shouldn’t simply be accepted as a normal part of getting older?
“Sleep plays an important role in our overall health and well-being at every age,” says Barb Richard, Clinical Coordinator and Chief Technologist at the Atlantic Sleep Centre. “While our sleep patterns can change as we get older, there are things we can do to support better sleep and recognize when sleep problems may need further attention.”

Barb Richard and Dr. Cameron Ashe, specialist in Respirology and Sleep Disorder Medicine, will discuss in an online session, “Sleep and Seniors,” on Tuesday, August 18 at 1 p.m.
Learn more about how sleep changes as we age, common sleep concerns among seniors, and strategies for supporting healthy sleep. The session will also explore when sleep difficulties may be a sign of an underlying sleep disorder and when to seek professional advice.
