Patients booking blood and specimen collection appointments at Charlotte County Hospital are now being asked to use a new central booking phone number.
According to Horizon Health Network, patients can now call 1-833-482-0774 to book, cancel or reschedule appointments at:
- Charlotte County Hospital
- Saint John Regional Hospital
- St. Joseph’s Hospital
- Kennebecasis Valley Health Services
- Sussex Health Centre
Horizon said the updated phone number is part of a booking system that allows patients to book, cancel or reschedule appointments 24 hours a day.
The system uses artificial intelligence technology and is linked with Horizon’s online booking platform.
It was introduced earlier this year in the Fredericton and Upper River Valley region.
Appointment bookings at other hospitals and facilities in the Saint John and surrounding areas will continue to use their existing phone numbers, according to Horizon.
Existing appointments are not affected by the change and do not need to be rebooked.
Horizon is also advising patients that the booking phone number for the Market Place Wellness Centre has changed.
Patients seeking blood and specimen collection appointments at the clinic can now call 506-632-5636.
The facility offers specimen collection services on Mondays and Tuesdays and continues to book appointments by phone only.
Horizon Health Network explain that patients can leave a voicemail, and clinic staff will return the call to arrange an appointment.
Online booking is not available at the Market Place Wellness Centre.
