RCMP PEI say 2 kittens thrown from moving vehicle

A shocking animal abuse story out of PEI.

RCMP are investigating after reports that two kittens were thrown from a moving SUV.

Police say it happened on September 20, on Route 24 in Lyndale, near Charlottetown.

Witnesses say one of the kittens was struck by another vehicle and killed. Luckily, the other was safely recovered and has now been adopted.

“This is a disturbing and shocking incident. Animals are vulnerable and depend on people for their care and protection. Deliberately harming animals in this manner is unacceptable,” says Corporal Gavin Moore, Media Relations Officer for PEI RCMP.

RCMP are now looking for more information that will assist in locating those responsible.
