Child sex related investigation leads to charges in N.B.

A 24-year-old Bathurst man is charged in connection with a child sexual abuse and exploitation material investigation.

RCMP say that in November 2025, reports of social media posts were received by the New Brunswick Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

Officers searched a Grange Avenue home in Bathurst in April 2025.

Police seized several electronic devices, and a 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He was later released on strict conditions.

The man was charged in August with possession, accessing and making of child sexual abuse and exploitation material and is scheduled to appear in court again in October.
