Hunter Joshua Green

2004 – 2026

It is with profound sadness that the family of Hunter Joshua Green announces his passing on July 18, 2026, at the age of 21. Hunter was born on August 23, 2004.

Hunter was the deeply loved son of Nicole Lahey and Jed Green (Amanda Kelley), and the cherished big brother of Miley Green. He was the beloved grandson of Heather and Ritchie Lahey and a special nephew to Heidi Lahey. He will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends.

Hunter was predeceased by his baby sister, Destiny, in 2003, and by his grandparents, Lois Green and Dana Green.

Hunter’s beloved girlfriend, Sidney Urquhart, passed away alongside him. Hunter loved Sidney deeply, and the relationship they shared was a treasured and important part of his life.

Hunter was a gentle giant with a kind heart. Lovable, funny and almost always in a good mood, he loved to laugh and had a way of making the people around him laugh too. He was incredibly family-oriented and was always looking out for the people he loved. His family meant everything to him, and he shared an especially close bond with his little sister, Miley, whom he loved dearly.

Hunter enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, whether they were hanging out, playing video games or sharing a laugh. He was a devoted Star Wars fan and shared a love of the band Queen with his dad.

Hunter loved the outdoors, especially trout fishing and camping. He worked in the tankhouse at Just Four Seafoods alongside his dad, Jed, and his good friend, Louis. He was a hard worker, took pride in doing his job well, and enjoyed the fun and laughter that came from working with people he liked.

Although Hunter did not particularly love school, he was incredibly smart, quick-minded and capable. Those who knew him will remember his intelligence, his humour, his easygoing nature and, above all, his kindness. He will be remembered as a loving son, a protective big brother, a devoted boyfriend, a loyal friend and a gentle giant who cared deeply for his family and friends.

Hunter will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
