K‑9 team helps arrest suspect in Rothesay break‑in

A 39‑year‑old man has been arrested following a commercial break-and-enter at a business on Millennium Drive in Rothesay.

The Kennebecasis Regional Police Force said officers responded at about 2:15 a.m. on Monday to a report of a break-and-enter in progress in the 700‑block of Millennium Drive.

Police said two suspects allegedly got onto the property after going through a chain‑link fence.

The force said its canine unit was called to help search the area.

The K‑9 track led officers to one suspect, who was arrested a short distance away without incident, but the second suspect was not found, according to police.

The 39‑year‑old man was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
